The Society of Comparative Liturgical Studies is dedicated to advancing research and education in the field of comparative studies on historical liturgies
Purpose
We aim to establish a community centered on this subject and provide support for new research. Our framework also includes publications on historical liturgies and learning events/courses for the public. This platform serves as a hub for individuals interested in priestly studies, catholic liturgy, churches, and old bible manuscripts.
The Charity
The Charity serves as the institutional core of the Society of Comparative Liturgical Studies, providing the essential organizational framework for its operations. It oversees fundraising efforts, allocates resources, and ensures the effective support of both the Institute and the Association. Through its strategic management and resource distribution, the Charity plays a vital role in advancing the Society’s mission, facilitating scholarly work, and fostering a thriving community of members and researchers.
The Institute
The Institute, the research arm of the Society of Comparative Liturgical Studies, provides dedicated support and resources to scholars engaged in the study of liturgy. Led by the Society's Director of Research, Fr. Diaz, the Institute fosters academic excellence through publications, lectures, and events that promote scholarly work in the field. With a commitment to advancing liturgical scholarship, the Institute serves as a hub for collaboration and innovation in comparative liturgical studies. Click here to read more about its work.
